On September 27th (Saturday), the Royal String Quartet – legends of Polish chamber music and masters of virtuosity who have even performed for British Queen Elizabeth II – will take the stage at the Arteneum Gallery. 🎻 About the Artists: Royal String Quartet is now a globally recognized brand. When you experience their vitality, artistic ingenuity, penchant for exploration, and openness to new challenges, it's hard to believe they've been playing for... 27 years! The ensemble is appreciated by the world's most important festivals. They gained nationwide popularity thanks to performances with Kayah and Nowa Warszawa, recorded with Stanisława Celińska and Bartek Wąsik. The success of the 'Royals' led to collaboration with the British label Hyperion. RSQ has become one of the leading ambassadors of Polish culture. They have recorded on four albums the quartets of Karol Szymanowski and Ludomir Różycki, the complete quartet works of Henryk Mikołaj Górecki, Krzysztof Penderecki, and Witold Lutosławski, as well as pieces by Paweł Szymański and Paweł Mykietyn. And these are precisely the works that can be heard during the lunch concert. 🎶 About Us: Nanodźwięki is an original project by Emilia Karolina Sitarz – pianist, curator, and laureate of numerous music awards (including Fryderyki, Paszport Polityki), and president of the Kwadrofonik Association. The goal is to create a safe space for music reception for people for whom new sounds, excess stimuli, or unpredictable changes in dynamics or timbre of the instrument pose challenges, often preventing participation. 🎟️ Accessibility: All events are adapted to the needs of people with disabilities, and the concert venues and repertoire have been selected to enable participation by the widest possible group. The aim of the concerts is to create a safe space for music reception for people for whom new sounds, excess stimuli, or unpredictable changes in dynamics or timbre of the instrument pose challenges, often preventing participation in music events. The organizers want to overcome fears together with participants, discover ways to 'listen' to sound, and deal with the emotions that music evokes. All events are open to the public, but priority participation is given to people with disabilities. 🤝 Partners: Event partners include: Fundacja Akacja, Fundacja Giganci, and the Association for Social Innovation 'Mary and Max,' which introduces participants to the world of assisted and alternative communication, as well as the Sonokinetic Event Factory. The program is co-financed by the City of Warsaw and the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage as part of the 'Accessible Culture' and 'Cultural Education' programs. Additional support has been provided by the Foundation for People with Disabilities and Chronic Diseases Forward.
