Neighborhood meeting with a potter! 📅 October 4 (Saturday), 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM 📍 Neighborhood Café, Działdowska Street 6 Free admission Did you know that a mug can be shaped in 35 seconds? Seriously! And a smile - in less than 5. Join us for a full-day meeting with a true potter - a guest from Czarna Wieś Kościelna, whose family has been working with clay for 225 years (well, maybe not him personally, but definitely his ancestors!). It will be a neighborhood Saturday full of clay, good energy, and shared spinning - not just on the potter's wheel. You can try, touch, learn, laugh, and shape to your heart's content! PROGRAM - what's happening? - 1:00 PM - Official welcome of the master and opening of the day We start the clay day by meeting our guest - a potter with a 225-year family history, who will tell us a bit about clay, the wheel, fire, and what spins when everything else stands still. - 1:30 PM - Master demonstration: a mug in 35 seconds! Before you can say "pottery," the master will shape a mug! A demonstration full of precision, tradition, and the magic of a hand that knows what it's doing. - 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM - Workshops at the wheel (for big and small) Spin, shape, create - it doesn't matter if you're 6 or 66 years old. Everyone can try working at the potter's wheel and make their own vessel - a bowl, mug, bell... or something entirely new. - 3:00 PM - Neighborhood Q&A with the potter Let's sit at the table and chat like people. About clay, craftsmanship, life, and working with hands. You can ask questions, share stories, or simply listen and enjoy a cup of tea. - 4:00 PM - The big spin: NEIGHBORHOOD BOWL The day's finale - we create one big, shared bowl. Everyone leaves their fingerprint, and together we build a symbol of neighborhood and co-creation. Because, as we know: it's better to shape together! CLAY PLAYGROUND - open from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM You don't have to sit at the wheel to have fun! In our family and animation zone, you'll find: - Stamping and imprinting leaves - because nature loves clay too. - Creating medallions - hang your creation around your neck or on the wall. - Shared storytelling table - a clay story written... in a clay alphabet! Use letter stamps and leave a word, sentence, or memory. Maybe together we'll write a mini neighborhood novel? The event is free, but we'd appreciate it if you bring something for the shared neighborhood table as a thank-you. ____________________ Event accessibility Location: Cultural Center at Działdowska Street 6 Transportation: the nearest public transport stop METRO PŁOCKA is 300 m away, lines: 10, 26, 103, 106, M2.
