About the event

This is already the sixth edition of the “Room in Bloom” series – unique concerts for just 20 people, held in the intimate setting of Maciej Kądziela and Kasia Pietrzko’s living room, offering a close encounter with music. This time, improvisation will meet jazz finesse in a cozy room, as saxophone, piano, double bass, and drums create a soundscape completed by vocals. It’s a concert for those seeking authentic emotions, sophisticated music, and an experience that lingers long after the last note. Performers: - Natalia Kordiak – Vocalist and improviser, who led her own quintet (albums “Bajka” – nominated for a Fryderyk Award, and “Ytinamuh”) and co-creates the Voice Act project for four improvising human voices. Currently developing a solo cycle of un-beautiful singing, she performs and leads workshops in Poland, Europe, and Asia. - Maciej Kądziela – Alto saxophonist, improviser, composer, and educator. One of the most distinctive artists of young Polish jazz, co-creator of international projects performing across Europe and Asia. - Kasia Pietrzko – Pianist, composer, and arranger, leader of the original Kasia Pietrzko Trio, whose albums are released in the prestigious Polish Jazz series. Her music is subtle, emotional, and full of refined narrative. - Mateusz Szewczyk – Double bassist and bass guitarist, winner of, among others, Jazz nad Odrą and Jazz Juniors. He has performed on renowned stages in Europe and Asia and collaborated with Leszek Możdżer, Dorota Miśkiewicz, and Wojciech Myrczek. His work balances jazz, improvised music, and songwriting projects. - Piotr Budniak – One of the most interesting young-generation jazz drummers, winner of major Polish competitions, also active internationally. Leader of the Piotr Budniak Essential Group, he has collaborated with Tomasz Stańko, Ewa Bem, and Rob Mazurek.
