As part of the Slajdowisko series, we warmly invite you to a meeting with Adrianna Jarczyk titled "Kayaking Down the Vistula River." "You praise others, but do not know your own" - a solo journey not only along the longest river in Poland but also the last wild river in Europe. In 2023, I solo navigated the entire navigable route of the Vistula River, and after 21 days and 950 kilometers, I reached the Baltic Sea. Along the way, of course, there were many adventures - I lost a paddle, fished a message in a bottle out of the water, passed through eight locks, and overcame many obstacles on the Vistula. Most nights, I slept in a tent pitched on the riverbank. Kayaking was not easy, especially at the beginning of the trip, because the river... wasn't flowing! Why the Vistula wasn't flowing, why you truly never step into the same river twice - I will talk about this at the meeting! There will be no shortage of uncovering the secrets of the Vistula, most of which we have no idea about.
