About the film:
The final days of World War II. A young Home Army soldier, Maciek Chełmicki, must carry out one more order – to shoot a communist apparatchik who has arrived in a provincial town to seize power. As hours pass, the protagonist sees less and less sense in continued fighting, begins a romance with the bartender of the local hotel and witnesses a celebration by the prewar establishment, rejoicing in the end of the old times. After the years of war, Maciek mainly wants to live and love, but he still has to fight, remember the fallen and sacrifice his own life.
