Psychopathic Offenders in the Practice of a Criminal Profiler. Profiler's Lecture

Profiler Jan Gołębiowski will present topics related to preparing the psychopathic profile of an unknown perpetrator. In the lecture he will discuss, among others:

• modus operandi, that is the characteristic, recurring behavior of the perpetrator
• signature behavior of a crime – what is unique and individual to a given offender
• professional analysis of specific cases
• conclusions that a profiler should draw

Our guest, Jan Gołębiowski, the most famous current Polish profiler, will talk about all of this. He will lead the lecture and involve participants in the “game” of profiling. During the meeting you will hear about the specifics and behind-the-scenes of professional profiling of unknown offenders, cooperation with law enforcement agencies and courts.

Jan Gołębiowski – profiler, works in criminal psychology. He worked at the Capital City Police Headquarters as a police psychologist, and then in the Forensic Psychiatry Department. Founder of the Center for Criminal Psychology, which provides trainings, consultations and publishing activities. He currently serves as a court expert and conducts many trainings. Author of the books: 'PROFILOWANIE KRYMINALNE. Wprowadzenie do sporządzania charakterystyki psychofizycznej nieznanych sprawców przestępstw', 'Umysł przestępcy.
