Meeting / 6.09 / Saturday / 16:00-18:30 / free entry 🌱 Agnieszka Stankiewicz will talk about the social actions undertaken by a group of residents of Ursynów who became involved in protecting the ecologically valuable area – Górki na Skraju. In the face of threats to local biodiversity, including those resulting from planned investments, the community has undertaken a series of grassroots initiatives aimed at preserving the unique character of this place. During the meeting, the course of actions will be presented – from the first interventions and building a local coalition, through ecological diagnosis and collaboration with experts, to advocacy efforts and mobilizing residents. Participants will learn about the fight to recognize the ecological value of the area, the obstacles encountered, and the tools (both formal and informal) that proved effective. The meeting aims to inspire other communities to take action to protect nature in their surroundings and to show that collective determination can lead to real change. 📍 The project is implemented as part of the 2nd Environmental Education Fund in cooperation with the Old Town Cultural Center and the Air Protection and Climate Policy Office of the City of Warsaw. The project is carried out as part of the implementation of the Green Vision of Warsaw and the recommendations contained in the document "Cultural Education in Warsaw."
