The new school year is a great opportunity to start it with new skills and, on top of that, with a unique, handmade pencil case! During this workshop, you will create your wooden pencil case from scratch – assemble the base from pre-made elements, sand the wood, and then decorate it with your own design on the lid, which you will laser engrave with the help of the instructors! Together, we will go through the entire design process – from sketching, choosing the best idea, to execution. Each intergenerational duo will act as a mini design team and decide on the final visual effect of the pencil case. Why is it worth participating? - You will learn the basics of working with wood and safely handling simple, manual woodworking tools. - You will discover what designing looks like in practice and how to turn a hand-drawn sketch into a graphic ready for engraving. - You will create a fully personalized, functional pencil case that you can proudly take to school (or to the office/home). 📅 Date: 13.09.2025, 10:00-13:00 ✍️ Registration: Required via the form on the website. Priority for the workshop is given to individuals who participated in workshops at FabLab powered by Orange more than 2 months prior to the planned workshop date. This rule aims to allow new participants to get to know FabLab. We are immediately accepting registrations for the waiting list (the system accepts a total number of applications equal to twice the target number of participants).
