If you feel like borrowing a book or three, reading, working, having tea with us, or simply relaxing in a cozy, wooden Finnish house - we invite you to the Climate Reading Room! The reading room is equipped with books on nature, urbanism, climate-ecology, social topics, and magazines like Przekrój. Our book collection: https://docs.google.com/d/1Z/mobilebasic 📅 September 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 (Mondays), 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Finnish House Sołectwo, ul. Jazdów 10/5, free entry Hania, Wiki, Viki, or Karola will be waiting for you in the reading room! We do not have stable funding for operations and utilities. We rely on donations and the work of volunteers. The Finnish House Sołectwo in the Jazdów Settlement is a space for grassroots initiatives and the headquarters of our NGO. The house also hosts the Cultural Self-Help Center: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61563483338002, where we host and help initiate and develop self-help groups. The event takes place in Wolny Jazdów, the largest grassroots center for culture and education in Poland, a social enclave in the heart of Warsaw. Residents of the settlement and urban activists defended it from demolition, and since 2015 they have been united in the Open Jazdów Partnership, which gives new public functions to this place. Our organization received a distinction from the European Commission for exceptional commitment to protecting and developing shared European heritage in the European Heritage Awards competition.
