At the beginning of February, Oliwka and Mati invite you to a one-day Crash Course in Rumba Guaguanco! Rumba is one of the "must-have" dances for Cuban/casino salsa dancers. Rumba style and technique are one of the main components of the typical Cuban "flow" on the dance floor, for both leaders and followers, and rumba motifs are often woven into Cuban timba tracks — the music we most often dance to at parties, practicas, or classes. If you want to take the next step in your dance development, diversify your repertoire of Cuban figures, improve style and technique, or refresh the basics of rumba — these classes are for you!
The classes are aimed at students at the P2 level. Knowledge of basic rumba guaguanco and basic casino figures is required (including Enchufla, Vacilala, Sacala, Camina/Paseo/Roscala). Attending solo classes will make learning easier, although it is optional. During the course we will review rumba transitions and learn several impressive rumba "add-ons." We will also show examples of how to use rumba figures in casino dancing.
📅 Date of the event: 01.02.2026
Course level: P2
