Walk through Królikarnia: art, history, and everyday life in Mokotów.
📅 Date: Saturday, September 6, 1:00 PM 📍 Meeting place: behind the palace in Królikarnia Królikarnia and surroundings – guided walk Join us for a journey through Królikarnia and its surroundings – a place where sculptures meet the everyday life of Warsaw's villas, and the history of art blends with the stories of the people who lived here. During the walk, we will answer questions such as: - Why did the sculpture 'Fatum' scandalize critics a hundred years ago? - Can you create a work of art that is essentially just… a support for a tree? - Where is the labyrinth hidden in Królikarnia? - How did 'pink' become the color of melancholy? - Who lived in the nearby villas, and which movie star had their home here? We won't stop just in the park – we will also venture into the surrounding streets to see old villas and artists' homes. This is an opportunity to discover both works of art in public spaces and traces of everyday life in Mokotów, which we often pass by without much notice. Guide: Kacper The walk is free, but if you would like to reward the guide, we would greatly appreciate it.
