The script, based on Magdalena Drab’s Gdynia Dramaturgy Award–winning text, is a poignant yet bitterly ironic story about people who are “too weak” to meet the demands placed on them by their surroundings, and at the same time too sensitive to survive in it.
The students create a space where the ordinary becomes a drama, and drama — a subversive, unexpected grotesque.
The Weak is not only the story of Anina — tormented by everyday life, overwhelmed by motherhood, paralyzed by the fear of death. It is also a universal tale about anyone who has ever felt that the world expects more of them than they can bear.
