Making Culture Free and Accessible for Everyone

12 sierpnia 2025
·2 min czytania

At GoJammin, we believe that culture should be open to everyone, no matter their budget. That’s why we’re proud to support OpenCulture, a non-profit initiative dedicated to making cultural life accessible, inclusive, and truly open.

What is OpenCulture?

OpenCulture is a socially-driven NGO with a clear mission:

“To make cultural, artistic, and educational activities accessible to all, regardless of income, background, or social status.”(Source)

They collect and share free events - concerts, workshops, exhibitions, lectures - so that anyone can experience it without worrying about ticket prices. It’s not just about entertainment; it’s about removing barriers to participation and ensuring that cultural life is a right, and not a privilege.

Why This Mission Matters

Culture is more than just art or music - it’s connection, identity, and shared experience. For many people prices keeps them on the sidelines. OpenCulture is changing that by:

  • Bridging the gap between cultural institutions and the public.
  • Promoting social inclusion-everyone, regardless of income, gets access.
  • Encouraging community engagement and local pride.

The European Commission has highlighted that equal access to culture is vital for social cohesion and active citizenship (European Commission on Cultural Policy)- values that OpenCulture puts into practice every day !

Why We’re Supporting This

At GoJammin, we know how important it is to find experiences that inspire and connect people. While we feature both free and paid events, partnering with OpenCulture lets us amplify an initiative that opens doors for everyone.

By sharing their work, we’re helping more people:

  • Discover culture without financial limits
  • Engage with their local community
  • Feel welcomed in spaces that might otherwise seem out of reach

How You Can Get Involved

Support their mission by attending events and spreading the word

OpenCulture is more than just a website-it’s a movement for cultural accessibility. We’re proud to stand with them and encourage you to do the same.
