Theatre in Details - Exhibition for the 75th Anniversary of the Jewish Theatre

    About the event

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Jewish Theatre in Warsaw celebrated this year, Prom Kultury Saska Kępa invites you to a special exhibition. This is one of the events accompanying the Singer Warsaw Festival. Admission to the exhibition is free, and it can be viewed until September 10. The Jewish Theatre in Warsaw is the only stage in Poland performing in Yiddish and Polish, preserving Jewish memory, language, and tradition for 75 years. It is a meeting place for generations of artists and audiences, as well as a space where Jewish culture lives and pulsates in contemporary times. What creates the magic of theatre? The fabric of a costume, a wig, a stage design sketch, or perhaps the actor's gaze just before stepping onto the stage? This exhibition tells the story of theatre from the inside — about the people, objects, gestures, and emotions that build a performance. We enter the dressing room, look into the eyes of characters, and touch the history hidden in the details. We invite you to a world where every detail matters and every object carries its own story — for 75 years now. Curators: - Ewa Łaniecka - Lech Majewski The event is part of the 22nd Jewish Culture Festival Singer Warsaw 2025. The exhibition can be viewed until September 10, admission is free.
