We will discover the market space, full of fruit and vegetable stalls, from the perspective of wild plants. We don't notice them every day, yet they coexist with this place. Unplanned, spontaneous, growing from cracks, fissures, sidewalks, and walls. Outside the system, uncontrolled, infiltrating the world of the Anthropocene. Resiliently reclaiming space. They create their own constellations and communities. Without aggression or domination, with the power of roots. Tender blooms of freedom. Together, we will walk around the bazaar, discovering these plants — often with medicinal properties. In the second part of the meeting, we will create zines — small booklets using collage techniques and other mixed forms. The protagonist will be the so-called fourth nature of this place. We will also talk about zines themselves — their origins, significance, and role in community building. The concept of “fourth nature,” introduced by Ingo Kowarik, describes plants in cities that develop spontaneously, without human intervention. *** Wero Karasek — visual artist, social animator, and educator.
