Welcome to the III DAY of the 9th edition of Avant Art Festival 2025 WARSAW at Chmury club! (EN ↓) 🎶 FREE ENTRY ✦✦✦ Olan Monk (IRL) Musicians, performers, and writers from Conamara, Ireland. Together with Lughi O’Neill, they co-founded the CANVAS collective – a series of events and an independent record label established in 2018 to give a unified voice to an increasingly dispersed artistic community. Their creative practice encompasses experimental and popular forms of songwriting, both solo and in collaboration with other musicians. They have worked with artists such as Actress, Ashley Paul, Elvin Brandhi, James K, Maria Somerville, Michael Speers, Moin, Princ€ss, and Shampain. Olan Monk's releases include Love/Dead (2020) and Auto Life (2021) through CANVAS, as well as Dubplate 08 (2022) published by AD 93. In 2024, their track Surf appeared on the compilation The Road Less Travelled Vol. 2 released by Scenic Route. That same year, they were featured as a guest on the track Guess It’s Wrecked from Moin's third album You Never End, also released by AD 93. They have performed at events such as the Rewire Festival in The Hague, Aiséirí at Leisureland (Galway), the National Concert Hall in Dublin, Sonic Arts Research Centre in Belfast, London venues like Cafe OTO, Barbican Hall, and ICA, as well as PAF Olomouc, EOS crossings in Frankfurt, and various locations across Ireland, England, and continental Europe. ✦✦✦ paszka (PL) If quarks and quantum particles could sing, they would hold anti-melodic chats in their layered reality. Paszka streams a party from the other side of the mirror, turned inside out, where in another galaxy of sound, a crowd of textures buzzes. Their music, composed of fragments of the universe, through convexity and tangibility, makes you listen to cyberbiology, computer fauna, binary plankton bathed in a rain of sparks after the explosion of a power pole.
