Their selection includes both Jamaican roots from the 70s and 80s, as well as contemporary UK roots/dub productions. They have their own sound system based on the British model, i.e., homemade equipment capable of reproducing deep and physical bass! Chalice Sound System has performed multiple times on local stages and often internationally, e.g., in France, Belgium, Germany, Serbia, Spain, and England (Jamaican Carnival, UNOD Festival, DubSchool, etc.). The beginnings of Roots Revival date back to 2006, when, after several years of playing in other collectives, Rootskontrolla and Jaszol decided to join forces. Shortly thereafter, inspired by Jamaican sounds and legendary British sessions, they built what was likely the first sound system of its kind in the country. In early 2022, Tomana Dub joined the selector lineup, also providing organizational and graphic support. Based on their unique energy, specific style, and solid crew, Roots Revival aims to represent what they consider the best of the roots & culture genre. Additionally, Jaszol is responsible for creating and managing Tribe 84 Records, as well as organizing the Bass Camp festival in southern Poland.
