    Über die Veranstaltung

After almost two years of running our Improvised Dance Stage [sic!] Saute and 20 evenings, we are opening up to new fields where improvisation can establish itself and develop as a full-fledged art form and stage language. Our goal is to expand the group of people interested in the practical side of stage improvisation. During the upcoming workshops, we will present our original perspective — a way of thinking about improvisation, seeing it, and creating it through specific methods. We invite both professionals connected with dance and choreography, as well as passionate practitioners of movement improvisation. The workshops will provide practical tools and theoretical knowledge, as well as create a space for developing and discovering improvisation as a stage language in the context of dance, choreography, and dramaturgy. It will also be an opportunity to explore your own language of movement, dance, and thinking through the body. The series includes four meetings, each lasting 3 hours, conducted by us — the curators of the Improvised Dance Stage [sic!] Saute program. The classes will be practical, and participants will explore various aspects of improvisation through personal experience. The workshops will cover the following topics: - Access to improvisation - what to do with yourself to create in real-time? - Solo improvisation – the power of presence; - Group improvisation – the strength of co-creation; - Process organization – choreography of improvisation. 📅 Dates: 10.08., 14.09., 12.10., 16.11. from 11:00 AM – 2:30 PM with a 30-minute break. 💰 Free admission. Project: Improvised Dance Stage [sic!] Saute As part of the competition: Warsaw Culture - works, projects, events Organizer: PERFORM Artistic Foundation in partnership with Centrum Łowicka Co-financing: City of Warsaw 📧 Registration for the workshops is required via email: [email protected]. Her works have been presented in Berlin, Budapest, Philadelphia, New York, Melbourne, Warsaw, and Vienna. She is a scholarship holder of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the Alternative Dance Academy 2015-2017 Art Stations Foundation, and a beneficiary of Global Practice Sharing at Movement Research in New York. She is a graduate of the Experimental Choreography II course at Centrum w Ruchu. Ilona Trybuła Dancer, choreographer, lecturer, creator, and organizer of many artistic and educational events. Author of performances. She created the International Dance Improvisation Festival (sic!), the Melba Collective, the Improvisation Laboratory, and the Improvised Dance Stage [sic!] Saute. Improvisation as a creative method and stage language in contemporary dance and choreography is the field she practices, explores, and studies. She places it in the philosophy of being, where the ordinary and everyday become extraordinary. We invite you to our perspective on improvisation. We are delighted to open our stage to those who consider improvisation their creative path and stage practice!
