Cooking School and culinary book exchange 🍴 We cook "tacoski with vegetable chili" and lazy dumplings with strawberries 📅 19.07 Saturday, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM 💰 Free admission The last meeting before the finale. We will cook two recipes from the open call. We will combine Polish comfort food and Rio Carnival. Sonata Galla sent a recipe for lazy dumplings with strawberries, and Gaba Tram for "tacoski with vegetable chili & salsa de Janeiro." These four salsas are: - Salsa #1: tomatoes, coriander, parsley, red onion, lime. - Salsa #2: ripe pineapple, ginger, coriander, mint, lime. - Salsa #3: mango, chili, mint, lime, shallot. - Salsa #4: guacamole, por favore! 📚 Additionally, we invite you to exchange culinary books. Bring books you already know by heart, don't use, or have duplicate copies – let someone else benefit. In return, you might take a book you don't have. Participation in the Cooking School is free. Only one condition: we prepare this meal together! And on 27.09, we invite you to the grand finale. There will be a premiere of a notebook with all the recipes, and we will cook "theatrical" dishes. This "School" in the name is somewhat exaggerated and refers to the place where we operate – the former millennium school. It's less about teaching and more about spending time together at the table. We peel, chop, and mix together. We get to know each other through cooking. And we cook because we love to feed. It's always been that way. At home in Ponurzyca, which we ran as Komuna Otwock, and later on Lubelska Street. We always had some cake, homemade bread, and something meat-free for bread for guests. Most of us don't eat meat, we promote plant-based cuisine and a healthy approach to the planet. We are growing as a social cultural institution, our program and team are expanding, but this remains unchanged – at Komuna Warszawa Theater, like at house parties, the most interesting conversations happen in the kitchen. Since we've been at Emilii Plater Street, every summer we move the table to the garden. It's a green oasis in the concrete center of Warsaw. The event is under the Honorary Patronage of the Mayor of the Śródmieście District of Warsaw. Thank you to Ludwik Majlert Farm for sharing their harvest. The event is co-financed by the City of Warsaw as part of the Komuna Warszawa – Social Cultural Institution project.
