A two-deck barge from the 1950s, which this season has come back to life under the Kaskada banner, believes that this September is going to be truly hot. 🎶 On Friday, September 12, it invites you to a night with the music of GusGus! GusGus is one of the most recognizable electronic acts from Iceland, known for their unique blend of house, techno, trip-hop, and synth-pop. The group has been active since the mid-90s, going through many transformations over the years while maintaining their distinctive sound and the hypnotic atmosphere of their performances. In their DJ set format, GusGus showcases a more club-oriented, dance-driven side – full of pulsating beats, deep basslines, and the electronic finesse they’ve been known for throughout the years. Their sets feature a mix of deep house, tech-house, progressive, and hypnotic techno, often interwoven with vocals and the signature ambiance of their studio albums. Behind the decks is Biggi Veira (Birgir Þórarinsson) – co-founder of the band, main producer, and the architect of its sound. For decades he has been shaping Iceland’s electronic music scene.
