The Ateneum Theatre invites you to October performances following the Warsaw premiere of the play by Gdańsk playwright Anna Wakulik at the Ateneum Theatre. This is a brilliant and subversive tale about family secrets that come to light at the least expected moment – after the grandfather's death. The will he left behind disrupts the existing order and forces four relatives to confront questions about identity, inheritance, and... blood type. Because supposedly we all have the same – yet someone once decided that blue blood means more than the one flowing in the veins of an ordinary peasant. Do we really all have equal opportunities in today's democracy? Or perhaps we need to dig deeper – into the roots of Polish identity and history, which still influence our daily lives?
