The Dramatic Theatre invites you to post-premiere performances in October. "Aquarius Era" is a musical journey following a generation that believed love was enough to save the world. That everything could be changed: with music and the rebellious slogan "make love, not war." What remains of this revolution? What have we suppressed, and what have we unknowingly inherited? Has the utopia faded like the paint on a psychedelic poster? The performance tells the story of the heirs of the flower children, who seek meaning in times when the only constant in life is a phone system update. It is also the story of hippies in the Polish People's Republic (PRL) – those who, in a country without consumerism, rebelled against oppression, the system, and monotony. The militia tracked them, propaganda mocked them – yet they danced in squares, formed communes, pitched tents, and planted flowers where walls were meant to rise. "Aquarius Era" is a journey through time and continents. A voyage not only into the world of a colorful myth but also a confrontation with what remains of it. It is a collision of the dreams of over 50 years ago with the brutal reality of the 21st century. It is a story about a world that has not become better – but still has a chance to. It is a story about how much we all – regardless of age – long today for love, peace, and freedom, for a place where one can simply be oneself.
