What the eyes [usually] don't see. A walk along Krakowskie Przedmieście and the Old Town

    Über die Veranstaltung

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, I invite you to a walk along Krakowskie Przedmieście and the Old Town. 📅 When: 12.09 2025 ⏰ Time: 17:30 🚶‍♂️ Walking duration: about 1.5 hours 📍 Meeting point: In front of the main entrance to the University of Warsaw – ul. Krakowskie Przedmieście 26/28. 📍 Ending point: Near the so-called Gnojna Góra – the viewing terrace at ul. Brzozowa. 💰 Cost: pay what you wish During our walk, I will try to show you details, monuments, and other interesting elements along our route that we usually overlook in everyday life. Do you want to: - See a cannon? - Meet Sławek? - See the Round Table? - Meet Lajkonik? (Seriously, Warsaw has one too) - Meet the daughters of the Mayor of Old Warsaw? - Learn how Warsaw residents defended themselves against quartering nobility in their homes during parliamentary sessions? - Reflect on the view of Praga from a medieval garbage dump? There will, of course, be more activities. The walk will be led by me – Aleksandra Wiak: a freshly minted guide to Warsaw, a graduate of Varsavian studies, and the author of the Facebook and Instagram profile: Around the Capital and the World. Dear tour participant, There are countless ways to reward your guide. A smile, loud applause, kind words Throw a few (or a dozen) złoty into the hat, and it will be awesome.
