    Über die Veranstaltung

We invite you to a concert of an exceptional trio - Jan Emil Młynarski, Piotr Zabrodzki, and Joanna Sztucka, known as TERCET IMPERIAL. 🎵 September 8, Monday 🕗 at 8:00 PM 📍 under the bar Tercet Imperial made its debut in May 2025 at the Polish Radio Competition "New Tradition," winning the Grand Prix. The band was founded in the spring of 2024 by two experienced multi-instrumentalists - Piotr Zabrodzki and Jan Emil Młynarski. Musicians with jazz roots, who have participated in countless musical projects, have been traveling to Polish villages for years in search of knowledge and inspiration. They have also long collaborated with rural musicians, mainly from the Radom region. By studying the melody and rhythm of the oberek, the musicians arrived at fascinating conclusions, combining the native music of Poland's interior with ceremonial music from the western coasts of Africa and India, as well as selected directions in electronic music. This unique fusion forms the basis of the band's musical concept. Native melodies, traditionally played on violins or harmoniums, are recreated here on old synthesizers, and traditional rural "jazz" has been replaced by an electronic, analog drum set. The duo was joined by young singer and dancer Joanna Sztucka - a student of legendary singer Maria Siwiec from Gałki Rusinowskie, and thus Tercet Imperial was born. All three approach tradition with great respect. Melodies, songs, and rhythms retain their original form, and through an innovative, non-traditional performance apparatus, they gain a contemporary quality and flow beyond time and space. The universalism embedded in seemingly hermetic tradition is most important to them. Come, join us!
