    Über die Veranstaltung

    Meeting about aquatic animals belonging to invasive alien species. During the meeting, we will learn which species live in Polish waters, what they look like, and where they come from. We will learn how to distinguish native species from newcomers from foreign countries. If the weather permits, part of the meeting will take place by the nearby Służewiecki Stream – we will check which species of aquatic animals live there. Host: - Rafał Maciaszek – zoologist, aquarist, specialist in invasive alien species, lecturer at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, creator of the initiative 'Alien Hunter.' He carries out preventive actions regarding animals belonging to IAS (invasive alien species), conducts training and lectures, and has numerous scientific and popular science publications on IAS. Meeting point at the literary salon / free admission The walk is part of the project 'Wild Order,' whose partners include Służewski Cultural Center and the Greenery Board of the City of Warsaw. The project is implemented as part of the 2nd Environmental Education Fund in cooperation with the Old Town Cultural Center and the Air Protection and Climate Policy Office of the City of Warsaw. The project is carried out as part of the implementation of the Green Vision of Warsaw and the recommendations contained in the document 'Cultural Education in Warsaw.'
